NOTE: Due to Ceilidh House renovation, there will be no October 2008 Song Circle. New music space ready soon!

Listen, Learn, & Lift Your Voice: all ages and abilities are welcome at our monthly gatherings for singers. Bring music from, or inspired by, Celtic/British sources, acoustic instruments of any kind, and whatever else you'd like to share.

Celtic Women's Retreat -- COMING SOON

Nature, Nurture, & Creativity: Finding Hope & Balance in a Changing World

Explore the ecological wisdom of the Celtic tradition in a one-day rural retreat. Through Celtic music, poetry, dialogue and quiet reflection, participants will discover food for thought and tools for creative, positive change.

Location: Tir na nOg Farm, Pownal, Maine: (farm-fresh food, woodland trails, Highland cows, and an on-site bagpiper!)

Registration: $90 (Lunch & Tea included. Potluck dinner & evening ceilidh optional.)

Workshop: Tweed-Waulking Songs -- COMING SOON

Location: Wrinkle In Thyme Farm, Sumner, ME (a diversified farm featuring angora goats, sheep, hand-dyed rovings, yarn, & maple syrup!)

Explore a wild and wooly tradition: women's work songs and the fiber arts of the Scottish Highlands! This hands-on workshop will feature Scottish Gaelic work songs and traditional fiber-arts, a fresh farmhouse lunch, live bagpipe music and a tour of a working farm. Waulking (cloth-milling) songs will be taught by ear, then sung together as we work the cloth. No previous knowledge of Gaelic is needed to join in the "yo-ho-ho"-style refrains of these witty, boisterous songs!

Registration: $30 per person* (includes farmhouse lunch & song/history packet) *Barter/scholarship options and lodging available. Please inquire.
